Baadshah and Khiladi together for a film

Two of the greatest actors of Bollywood will be seen together in the same frame for an untitled project of Sajid Khan, if all goes well. These veteran actors who have ruled the charts for several years now, as chance may have it, have never worked together as such. We talk of none other than Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar.

Director Sajid Khan has shown keenness to cast the two actors together, as they have previously never been. Good news is that when SRK and Akki were respectively approached, neither of them rejected the offer outright. Meanwhile, it is fair enough for us to remind the readers that these two actors in the past have had some mutual odds to deal with.

While SRK has kept his edge at Box Office, Action man Akki had recently knocked him to second spot in the nation's highest tax payers list. Also, Sajid Khan has been consistent in casting Kumar for his movies. Sister Farah Khan recently opt Akshay over close mate SRK for her soon to release Tees Maar Khan. We heard of the cold vibes that ensued between the director actor duo, and reported as much. Of course, that it was Akshay who replaced him as Farah's evergreen lead hero could not have gone unnoticed by King Khan.

Consequently, the quest to take over the reigns from each other has been a subtle but persistent tug of war between the two.

It was a risky but well intended move in these circumstances, on Sajid's part, to approach the Baadshah and Khiladi of tinsel town to join hands for a common project. Though we haven't heard a yes yet, it hasn't been a no either.

And that alone gives fans of the actors much hope - if things are to be, SRK and Akshay shall be face to face on the silver screen soon enough.
