Rani shooting in Malaysia!

Actress Rani Mukerjee is all set to shoot a romantic film in Malaysia's Kuala Terengganu state this May.

Mentri Besar, chief minister of the state, has said that his government is 'excited that a Bollywood production house has selected Kuala Terengganu as its shooting location' ,apparently not the obvious choice in most cases.

This, in his opinion, would certainly go a long way in boosting the state's tourism industry, The Star reported today in their daily newspaper.

CM Besar also said he has met the producer of the movie and read the script. Following the privacy contract however, he did not disclose the cast, or other details.

Instead, he stated that the production house would announce the star cast before the shoot begins.

Indian films and their actors, both from Mumbai and from Chennai, are popular in Malaysia, which is home to nearly two million members of the Indian diaspora. A good area to exploit for potential audiences at that, specially when the shooting progresses in one's home zone!
