Accents don't come cheap. That was what Producer Karan Johar learned whilst striving for excellence in his upcoming My Name Is Khan.   Little Arjan Aujla, the onscreen son of Bollywood's evergreen duo, Shah Rukh and Kajol, had to undergo a formal training to acquire the apt American accent. KJo was determined that the role, prime as it is to the plot, should be essayed authentically. As the character portrayed is of an American born Indian child, raised in the United States, a local teacher was hired during their shooting in San Francisco.

Eight classes of ranging from three to four hours were squeezed in to he hectic schedules of the little one. However the teacher was paid $200 per hour with the grand sum adding up to a little over Rs. 2 lakh in India currency!   Striving for perfection at no cost too high, ain't he, Karan Johar?! And we thought that was another's obsession in tinsel town!
