Abhay follows Akshay...

Critics-favourite Abhay Deol seems to be following in khiladi Kumar's footsteps! The latest buzz is that Abhay is learning new skill called Krav Maga, an Israeli form of martial arts, for his upcoming movie Basra.  It is also know that Akshay Kumar is well versed with Krav Maga.

Interestingly,  it was another Akshaye (this time Khanna) who was director Navdeep Singh's first choice.  Unfortunately Khanna was already signed with Nikhil Advani's production company.

The two parted ways due to differences and Deol stepped in to back his director, with whom he had previously worked with in Manorama, Six Feet Under.  Abhay is set to play the role of a RAW officer, requiring him to have extensive action sequences.  And Deol wants to ensure that he does his stunts perfectly!

 

The film's schedule is expected to start early next year  in Iraq.
