Indeed so, there has already been news of, not one, not two, but three possible break ups in tinsel town this November. BollyCurry brings you
accounts of all, replete with the underlying details.
Mugdha Godse may be riding high on success in her professional life, with 2008's mega hit Fashion behind her back, and the promising opening of her latest Bhandarkar project Jail,
at BO. On the personal front however, darker clouds have descended upon
her. Strain in her relationship with Mithun Purandare, boyfriend of six
years, had been sparking talks since the beginning of the year. Post the
release of her much awaited movie Jail, where she plays co-star
to Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mughda has claimed having broken up with her
beau. A relationship that dates back to her late teen years, Godse
blames the rift on growing up and understanding how two people are not
always meant to be together. In her statement to 'Hi Pakistan',
Mugdha did claim that the silver lining, in this entire unfortunate
state of affairs, has been that the two have parted on mutual grounds
with a wish to stay cordial as friends.
Sameer Soni and Neelam are next on the list. Another
couple that
maintains to harbor no hard feelings at having parted ways. The two
shared a common affection for each other, which
extended beyond a usual colleague friendship and became official
earlier this year, and were seen as a steady couple. The
decision to separate came as a considerable shock, especially to
close and common friends whom expected the two to
announce taking their relationship to a next stage. One such friend
went on to recount Sameer's loud, partially tipsy, declaration of love
for Neelam, at his own birthday party some days before the split. It
was an act which, though visibly embarrassing Neelam, had been taken by
her
in good spirit. However, because the ex-couple did not see eye-to-eye
about future their future bonding, they called it quits. While Sameer
was ready to go ahead, Neelam found herself in
dwindling half minds. It was hence, that the jinxed November cursed
this couple in love.
Last, and far from the least, is an association of far too many years,
a bond of ultimate commitment between two people, and from a generation
where break ups were more than a mere social stigma. A celebrated
artist and an extremely revered individual in our film industry is how
we have grown up watching and knowing Mr.Om Puri. His wife Mrs. Nandita
Puri, had been, for sometime now, working on her account of her husband's
biography; it's a fact that was no secret for Mr. Puri himself. However, he
now shares that at no occasion had he been made privy to the actual
drafts and content of the book until the day it was completed and
revealed to the whole world. An extremely livid Mr. Puri, after hearing
his wife talk about her work on national media, feels utterly betrayed
and let down in what he has always considered a sacred bond.
Apparently, his wife, in narrating the chronicles of his life, has gone
in lengths to discuss her husband's physical relations with two women
other than herself in earlier years. Both of whom were maids, one when he was an
adolescent and the other in an act to break class distinctions a few
years later. Mr. Puri, in his defense, denied neither of the two
episodes as being part of his life. Instead, he explained that he had
found it necessary for them to be discussed and revealed to the woman
he would share his life with when they had begun their journey. The
fact is that she has not only exposed them, but done so with
such lurid details, making them the highlight of his life over and above
his list of enviable achievements that have taken decades of struggle
and interminable determination on his part. This left Mr. Puri bitter; so
much, that he feels she has drawn parallels between him and the likes
of Shiney Ahuja, which he insists is far from reality.
Nandita, on being approached about her husband's reaction said she had
intended nothing offensive. It had been completely out of her control
that her first public interview about the biography turned out as
disastrous as it did. She said also, that she had indeed wanted to
present Om as a man, an actor, and above all a human with his share of
foibles - a realistic life of growing and learning at each stage. If
one hears her side, she is majorly distressed with how sour things have
turned without her willing for any of this to happen. What one can see
an outside onlooker, however, is the clear fact, that a matrimony of so
many happy years has seen a rather unlucky end, one which is likely to
be dragged into much greater mess for a while to come.
