Bollywood events are usually graced by celebrities decked in designer outfits straight off the runway. It is indeed rare for a Bollywood occasion to have a casual dress code. That being said, the recently held special screening of the
Amitabh Bachchan and
Taapsee Pannu starrer,
Pink, was one such event where celebrities attended at their casual best.
Taapsee Pannu
The lead actress of the movie,
Taapsee Pannu, wore a long, pink tulle dress with a green bug pattern all over. Alas, the mash of pink, black and green colours did not work well together with the only saving grace being her black strappy heels.
BollyCurry Rating: 2/5Rajkummar Rao
Rajkummar Rao's double denim look with a white tee and black sneakers matched the casual tone of the event well. However, the lack of accessories was apparent and the look appeared incomplete. Rao could have chosen to wear a leather wrist band or a fedora would have added a nice personal touch.
BollyCurry Rating: 4/5Preity Zinta
Preity Zinta looked as gorgeous as ever, but unfortunately the look was too casual for a screening. The coral jacket, white tee and black track pants with Nike shoes totalled up to a jogger's outfit. We would have preferred if she had swapped the track pants for white denim.
BollyCurry Rating: 3/5Kriti Sanon
The black maxi dress with flats and black mani pedi would have ticked all the boxes for us, if not for the one balloon sleeve. While the one shoulder look suited Sanon, the sleeve made her look swamped. The minimal accessories did work well with the rest of her appearance, though.
BollyCurry Rating: 3.5/5Juhi Chawla
Juhi Chawla played safe with a monochrome look paired with white accessories for the evening. The black leggings seemed ill-fitted and a plain black footwear would have been a better choice instead of the wedge heels with black and white stripes.
BollyCurry Rating: 2.5/5Many other celebrities including Rahul Bose, Dino Morea, Sophie Choudry and Ayushmann Khurrana attended to support the team of Pink. Which celebrity did you think looked the best? Let us know in the comments below.Writer: Aishwarya S.
