The
Bajirao Mastani actress
Deepika Padukone and the Pakistani heart-throb
Fawad Khan left the audience stunned at
Manish Malhotra's couture show labeled "A Persian Story" for FDCI India Couture Week 2016. The grand show was held on Wednesday at the Taj Palace in the Indian capital, New Delhi.
Amidst loud adulations, the Pakistani actor,
Fawad Khan made his debut on the Indian ramp to open the show. He looked sharp in a black open neck monogramed
sherwani and maroon palazzo style pants. The designer totally astonished us by layering Fawad's
sherwani over a draped neck tunic.
Deepika Padukone culminated the show in a vintage inspired bardot silhouette blouse and voluptuous skirt that trailed the ramp. Her red ensemble was very well lit with opulent Persian inspired embroidery. The motif was a beautiful concoction of Persian architecture. Deepika was jeweled with polki-pearl choker and hath-phool from Hazoorilal by Sandeep Narang.
The much celebrated celebrity designer,
Manish Malhotra drew inspiration from the Persian architecture and effortlessly weaved it into his couture collection. With the perfect showstoppers,
Deepika Padukone and
Fawad Khan,
Manish Malhotra also marked 11 successful years of his label.
Deepika Padukone looked wonderful in the red lehenga. Since her wedding rumours with Ranveer Singh are doing rounds, we can only imagine what a wonderful bride she will make.
