It's often said that cooking well doesn't have to mean
cooking fancy. However, for
Farah Khan's debut cooking show, 'fancy'
tops the list. With vague cooking recipes and mindless chatter with well
known faces of Bollywood, it is no wonder that Khan's
Farah Ki Dawaat will
soon bid adieu to your TV screens. However, while some celebrities
followed the 'look good to cook' rule, others dropped the fashion scale
so hard that it may never come up for them again - luckily it wouldn't
be the first time. Some episodes are yet to be aired formally but
BollyCurry's Fashion Police have already spotted the tasteless (and
tasteful - pun intended) outfits of a few of the guests!
The
inauguration of the first episode of the show was commenced by none
other than the Junior Bachchan alongside the host and dear
dost,
Farah Khan.
Abhishek Bachchan, known for his wit, may now be also known
for his constant need to tread on safe territory. The man adorned
himself in a black leather jacket, dark wash denims and a pair of rough
boots. Luckily for Bachchan, we prefer the concept of "better safer than
sorry". We just wish that there was something new to look at; a piece
of accessory or even a pop of colour. Anything that would give this
almost monotone outfit the zing it needs, it would have made all the
difference.

The
show was also graced by the presence of
Alia Bhatt who appeared to have
dressed as appropriately as possible for a cooking show. While that
could be considered a boon for her, it also drags her down considering
her love for creative outfits just as much as fashionista
Sonam Kapoor.
The gal threw on a plaid shirt, sleeves rolled up underneath a dress
overall. The natural minimal make up and casual hair style add to the
outfit. With that look, just as Junior B, Bhatt can be considered a
foregone conclusion. Perhaps, the only element of surprise in the
episode was Bhatt actually
eating,
or should we say
eating and
cooking.

Chirpy
Anushka Sharma will also be seen cooking on the show. She posed earlier
for the cameras dressed in a polka dot shirt and white jeans. The look
was finished off with a pair of flat gladiator sandals. Neck down, the
look earns a massive thumbs up but the hair unfortunately does the exact
opposite. For some, a shoulder length bob works just fine but with
others, it only serves to take away; Sharma falls in the latter
category. It seems another visit to the hair stylist is in need because
that hairstyle has only one place to go: the 1970s.

Arjun
Kapoor may be known for many things but his dressing sense isn't one of
them. Whether it's the overly worn grey shirt, the cream leather jacket
on top of a grey shirt, or the unruly, never changing hair
style, this outfit, just like many others, has successfully managed to
drop the fashion scale to zero - once again. At the very least, we know
for a fact that Kapoor can afford himself a decent haircut, which
luckily for him, may solve many of his problems. The reason for that
being,
Arjun Kapoor has 99 problems, fashion is unfortunately all of
them.

On the last episode of
Farah Ki Dawaat, the
pretty Jacqueline Fernandes will make an appearance as the last guest
alongside much popular comedian,
Kapil Sharma. This lady, unlike the
previous others, opted for a traditional attire. Fernandes chose a pair
of plain plazzo pants with a knee length sleeveless pink
kurta. She ended the look with nude shoes, curly hair, silver bangles and matching
chumkas. All
in all, the actress owned the outfit, one of the best dressed in the
show for certain. You know what they say, save the best till last.

Luckily
for our beloved celebrities of Tinsel Town, food makes everything
better. If there was ever a show to commit fashion blunders in, it
would be a cooking show and not just any cooking show, but rather Farah Ki Dawaat
.
Therefore, we excuse Arjun Kapoor this once as we've already sentenced
him last week for his abominable outfit choices. After torturing
ourselves for so long, perhaps it's time for us at BollyCurry to grab a
meal as well. Let us know what you thought of the outfits of the VIP
guests in the comments below!Writer: Harjot D.
