Sighted: Deepika Padukone - On a Fashion High!

Happy New Year starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone is the hottest ticket at the box office these days and it is no surprise that the leading lady was busy promoting the blockbuster throughout the last month. Although there were numerous outings, both local and international, the sultry star did not disappoint when it came to fashion. Below is a small collection of the wide array of looks Ms. Padukone donned over the course of the promotional tour.

Ms. Padukone wore this stunning pink Anushree Reddy saree to a taping of an episode of Comedy Nights With Kapil at the early stage of her promotions. The actress paired the floral printed saree with the gold border and a shear sleeveless blouse featuring similar embroidery. She finished off her look with a half-up/ half -down 'do and a pair of gold jhumkas. We have no complaints! Ms. Padukone looked absolutely gorgeous in this look! BollyCurry Rating: 5/5

Deepika Padukone looked beautiful in this blush pink outfit by Zara during the Indore promotions of her movie. The pleated skirt was worn with a flowy long sleeved polka dot blouse. She paired the soft tones of her outfit with white Louboutins and pearl stud earrings. Her signature quiff ponytail and neutral makeup perfectly completed this romantic look. BollyCurry Rating: 5/5

The lovely actress stunned in this fresh off the runway Gauri and Nanika gown during the Indore promotions of her movie. The ivory gown featured a high neckline, low-V back, a high-low hem and rather mischievous red rose embroidery at the side. Padukone wore her hair up in a pretty ponytail ensuring that her stunning dress was on full display. She paired this gown with red and black snakeskin Alexander McQueen pumps and a pair of pearl and ruby Valliyan earrings. Matching red lips finished this enticing look. BollyCurry Rating: 5/5

The leading lady attended the ABP Mazha party in a white and gold jacket by Sonaakshi Raaj. The jacket was modified from its original plunging neckline for a more demure look. Padukone paired the jacket with zippered white skinny jeans and gold mirrored Giuseppe Zanotti pumps. She wore her hair down with soft waves for a simple look. What grabbed our attention was her choice of hot pink lip color. While it was indeed a bold choice, but bright pink lips was just the touch of color this outfit needed. BollyCurry Rating: 4/5

Ms. Padukone took a break from formal looks at a Delhi press meet turning up in a Hemant and Nandita sweatshirt. The dark blue sweatshirt featuring a beaded peacock design was paired with distressed boyfriend jeans and her go-to gold Giuseppe Zanotti pumps. While this may not be the most perfect look for a press meet, we thought Ms. Padukone certainly looked cute and cool in it. BollyCurry Rating: 4/5

At one of the Delhi promotion events of her film Ms. Padukone opted for a Red Stella McCartney pantsuit. She wore the blazer with rolled cuffs and paired it with a purple cami, her favorite gold Giuseppe Zanotti pumps, layered gold necklaces. Her hair was once again worn in a quiff ponytail. While the suit fit the actress to a T, this is not our favorite look of hers from this promotion tour. Purple cami and the red suit are not the best the pairing. Also, we would have love to have seen her experiment with her hair more, frankly, we are getting bored! BollyCurry Rating: 3/5

Deepika Padukone looked like the belle of the ball at the Dubai Premiere of Happy New Year thanks to a midnight blue gown from Gaurav Gupta Couture. The one shouldered mermaid style dress featured loop detailing at the neckline, a sheer panel on the side and heavy floral detailing at the bottom. The actress kept her jewelry to a minimum, opting for a simple pair of double studded earrings by Dior. Her hair, which was up in a do, was a welcome change from her signature ponytail. Neutral make-up completed her look. While the bottom part of the dress looked heavy on the actress, we think he fared well in carrying this look flawlessly. BollyCurry Rating 4.5/5

The recent launch for Happy New Year's song "Sharabi" saw Padukone looking gorgeous in a light blue Pankaj & Nidhi creation, an off-the-shoulder crop top and a skirt with a vintage print. She completed her look with nude peep-toe Louboutins, red lips and her snooze-worthy trademark ponytail. No doubt she looked beautiful but we can't reward her sporting the same hair in numerous outings. Seriously, time for new hair style Ms. Padukone! BollyCurry Rating: 4.5/5

Deepika Padukone is every bit beautiful as she is talented, and her beauty and fashion sense was on full display during the promotional tour of her new hit, Happy New Year. While a majority of fashion outings left her looking enticing, there were few that had room for improvement. Nonetheless, her gorgeous smile made up for those shortcomings.
