Define Love?! A question that crops up time and again, and yet
is perhaps the hardest one to answer. Love is not an easy word to
describe and has no clear-cut definition. It has many connotations and
interpretations. As we conclude this month of February aka the month of
love, BollyCurry brings you the various interpretations of love with the
importance of Valentines Day for our Bollywood celebs.
While promoting their upcoming movie I, Me Aur Main,
it's cast consisting of John Abraham, Prachi Desai and Chitrangada
Singh told us about the importance of Valentines Day. While
John steongly sided with the view of Valentines' being special for girls
only, Chitrangada showed emotions of still believing in the romance of
olden times. When asked about their definitions of love, Prachi Desai
said how heartbreaks have helped her grow better as a person while
Chitrangada tried to dodge the question by herself asking how love can
be defined in this modern, fast-moving life where expectations keep on
changing everyday.
This brings us to our lovey-dovey couple
Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia Dsouza. The couple talked about how love
is when there is no doubt about the other person being the perfect half
to your whole. While they encourage being extremely independent, they
don't mind depending on each other when at home.
Next up were
Bollywood actors Abhishek Bachchan and Imran Khan who stated their
disapproval on the concept of Valentines Day. According to them, if you
love someone, you should celebrate being with them everyday and love
surely shouldn't be limited to one day in a year. Imran also went on to
comment about Valentines Day being yet another commercial gimmick to
sell cards and roses. Jacqueline Fernandes couldn't agree more with
these hunks. As she puts it, love shouldn't be confined to just one day.
Finally, when the same questions were asked to Vivek Oberoi and Neha Sharma at the promotion of their newly released film Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story, both of them agreed on the concept of love being when someone loves you for who you are as a person.
As seen, there are many views on love and Valentines Day. Some were mentioned above while some weren't. Agree or disagree, don't forget to leave your views on the topic!
