In accordance with BollyCurry's hot theme of the month, we have the extremely sexy and steamy Jacqueline Fernandez in the spotlight! Fernandez was born on June 2nd, 1985 in Colombo, Sri Lanka to a Sri Lankan father and a Malaysian mother.

 

Fernandez has spent quality years of her childhood in Bahrain, where she moved with her parents and three siblings at the age of three. In young adulthood, she moved to Australia for further studies and returned to Sri Lanka to work as a model, TV reporter, and a host.

 

She has been crowned as Miss Sri Lanka Universe 2006 and it was after this event that she began to receive modelling offers from India, as well as got her big break into Bollywood.

Jacqueline made her Bollywood debut as a lead actress in Sujoy Ghosh's Aladin, opposite Ritesh Deshmukh in the year 2009. Post this movie. Fernandez became a recognized face in Bollywood and even managed to bag the International Indian Film Academy Best Female Debut award as well as the Stardust Best Exciting New Face award. 

 

The year after, she appeared in Milap Zaveri's Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai, also starring Ritesh Deshmukh. At this point, Jacqueline was not very pleased with the kind of roles she had enacted and almost gave up on acting. However come 2011, she starred in Mahesh Bhatt's Murder 2, which happened to be her first success at the box office. The sex appeal and boldness she displayed in the movie was enough to mark this movie as a breakthrough in her acting career.

 Fernandez last appeared in Housefull 2, which released earlier this year. The flick received super hit status at the box office and contributed to the diva's success story as well.

Jacqueline is currently shooting for Race 2, slotted to release in January 2013.
