Ladies and gentlemen, BollyCurry's
chosen celebrity under the spotlight this week is B-Town's new favorite
girl-next-door Parineeti Chopra in the spotlight!
Born on May 12, 1988 in Ambala, (Haryana) Parineeti Chopra is the daughter of
Punjabi couple Pawan and Reena Chopra. After attending Manchester Business
School in the UK to study finance and economics, she returned to her homeland
and made way to Mumbai, the city where her dreams would soon become larger than
life! Initially, Parineeti bagged a job as the Marketing and PR Consultant at
Yash Raj Films, wherein she gained recognition, connections and prompts to try
a hand at acting!
The girl made her silver screen debut with Maneesh Sharma's Ladies V/S Ricky
Bahl alongside Ranveer Singh and Anuksha Sharma. Critics praised Parineeti
for her acting and even tagged her as the best actress of the three Ladies referred
to in the title. Her character, Dimple Chaddha was of bubbly and boisterous
city girl and her portrayal was authentic and easy to relate to, winning
acclaim overnight. For this feat, she went onto win Filmfare's Best Female
Debut Award, not to forget bagged her next big venture, with YRF, in a lead
role this time!
And it is with her unusually forthcoming and brash character in Ishaqzaade, directed
by Habib Faisal, opposite newcomer Arjun Kapoor, that she started to make
headlines again much before the release itself. With the movie recently hitting
the screen, critics had, once again, only good things to say about Parineeti
the actor. Essaying a character that in hands of lesser talent or confidence would have been
difficult to digest, B-town's new "PC" won favour of the audience yet again.
Having proven potential at both occasions of test, Parineeti sure shows the
mettle and making of a potential performer who is here to stay!
As for her love life, at this moment it appears that she is single and ready to
mingle. Otherwise, it her budding career she wants to focus on.
Did you know...
Watch out
for her next, in Pardeep Sarkar's Next!
