Divya Dutta is undoubtedly a talented actress and has proved again with her performance in her recent movie Mati Express.

Divya Dutta in a candid chat with Bollycurry speaks about her film.

How is your character in Masti Express?

I play the character of loving wife of a rickshaw wala, played by Rajpal Yadav. It is s comic film but very endearing subject with lots of Masti. The film shows little incidents and happenings that are normal that brings in the fun element.

How was it working with Vikram Pradhan?
Vikram is a fun chap always laughing on the sets. He is very clear about his stuffs and knows what he wants in each portion of the film.

How did you prepare yourself for the role?
There is no much preparation that I did for the role because I had done such roles before. She is just a normal protective wife who scolds her husband but loves him to death. The incidents that happen are what we see in most marital relation. Rajpal plays my husband and he is very endearing.

How was it working with Rajpal Yadav and Johnny Lever?

They both are amazingly nice and I had a great time working with them. But at the same time how they are not so Mastikor off-screen as they are on screen.

Did you have any learning experience from the film?
Not really because this is a fun film which we want the audience to enjoy and have a relaxed feeling. We want them to come out of the theater with a smile on their face.

Today low budget movies are critically well acclaimed when compared to very costly one? What's your opinion on it?

I think the audience has awakened and they proved that they will like good films. There are movies like Udaan, LSD, Peepli Live which are brilliant movies. They proved that Khans are not really needed to make a film popular.  But at the same time they are indeed the faces of any movies. Today if the movies have a great content, they will definitely work. I loved the recent movie Yeh Saali Zindagi.

This is the season of awards; what's your opinion on awards?
Give me all (laughs). They are always an encouragement and getting an award always rejuvenates you. This year I received the Best Actress Award for my Punjabi Film.

You have also been a popular figure in television, will you return?
May be not in fiction because it is really demanding and now that I am really busy with the movies, I do not think I will be able to give time for a fiction.

What is your opinion on television today?

Actually I do not watch much of the shows that appear, but at times I used to watch with my mother. I enjoy Jhalak a lot and I love the performances of Sushant. But I am really shocked the way certain reality shows are conducted. I think censors should be brought into television as well with the way they telecast reality shows. With the way they use language on national television; such shows should be pushed to late night slots.

Which is your favourite in television?
News (laughs) because I think they are more entertaining and spicy than any other shows on television now.

What would you like to say to your audience about the movie?
I would like to say that the movie is entertaining, so just go and have fun watching the movie.
