Amazon Prime's 'Mirzapur' is all set to stream all the episodes of the first season today i.e on 16th November. Yesterday, the whole cast and creators of Mirzapur held a press conference and post that we got a chance to interview the cast of the team Mirzapur.

Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Rasika Duggal:

The actresses were asked to introduce their characters

Shweta answered, "In Mirzapur, I play the character Golu Gupta, the younger sister whose world lies in books. She's a confident girl from Mirzapur who believes in living and doing things her way. Straightforward and honest, she doesn't mince her words while talking."

Shriya explained about her character saying, " I am very happy because the character I am portraying is very different from what I have done before. Sweety is not as sweet as her name comes across,". "Sweety is a feisty, fearless girl who has no inhibitions. She is a big supporting factor in her sister (Shweta Tripathi) and Guddu's (Ali Fazal) life. I love the fact that she knows her bullets, her guns and her bikes because I learned how to ride the bike for this show. Hopefully, I have done justice to it," she added.

Talking about her character Rasika shared, " It's very different from the parts I have played so far, so I'm excited about exploring this one. She is fierce, intense, aware of her sexuality and beautifully flawed".

When Shweta and Shriya were asked about their screen space Shweta shared, "I am too happy to have so much media attention due to Mirzapur and also I have a good screen space this time and it was amazing to work with the whole cast"

Shriya said, "Three of us me, Ali and Shweta know each other from a long time we had done theatres together and it was really amazing to reunite with them again"

Shriya also added that "Rasika has been a part of TV and she is way more experienced than us"

When the actresses were asked about the evolution in media platforms they answered, "It's a great thing that has happened so far as due to digital platforms the good content are being admired by everyone". "It has created a great opportunity for all the content creators to showcase their talent" Shweta added.

However, the actresses did not reveal whether they marked their hands on guns and weapons. They said, "You will see that when you'll watch Mirzapur"

Three of them believe that it's a unique concept and will surely be loved by the viewers.

Ali Fazal and Vikrant Massey:

Ali was asked how he prepared for his role

He answered, "It took some patience and a lot of eating. The key to any kind of results is consistency. Topped with some manic-ness. I really thank the 'Mirzapur' team to have been so supportive of my routines and all the effort put in. It was all a teamwork. I could not have done without everyone, especially my trainer and my dietician,"

Vikrant was asked, You were last seen in 'A Death in the Gunj' which was around 2 years back. So how do you choose a particular script?
The actor answered, "A good content will always attract audiences as well as the actors. So I feel I was searching for a good content like Mirzapur"

Amazon's Prime will stream all episodes of Mirzapur today i.e 16th November.

So, stay tuned for more updates.
