We are back
once again to let you guys know about the hottest releases this October! The
month seems to have some interesting releases, and some not so interesting
ones! Without further ado, lets discuss what Bollywood has to offer this month!

Starting the
month of with a bang is the
Ranbir Kapoor starrer
Besharam. The
Anurag Kashyap directorial, which released on October 2 also stars the
newcomer
Pallavi Sharda. The movie is about Babli, played by
Kapoor, a charming car mechanic living in an orphanage with a
nonfunctional
moral compass. He shamelessly steals cars to make money to run the
orphanage. However,
he sees the errors of his ways when he unknowingly hurts the love of his
life Tara
(
Pallavi Sharda). To make matters worse, the super cop couple Chulbul
Chautala (
Rishi Kapoor) and Bulbul Chautala (Neetu
Singh Kapoor) are on his case! And does Babli escape the law and get the
girl?! You'll just have to catch the movie to find out!

Releasing
the week after, on October 11, are a slew of movies with a low production
value. These include the
Javed Jaffrey,
Soha Ali Khan and
Sharman Joshi starrer comical satire
War Chhod Na Yaar. The movie takes a
humorous look at the armed forces of two countries engaged in a perpetual war.
Also releasing on this day is
Dilli Gang,
based on the happenings of the December 2012 Delhi gang rape.

The next big
movie to watch out for is
Akshay Kumar starrer
Boss. Releasing on October 16, the movie also stars
Aditi Rao Hydari,
Ronit Bose Roy, and
Mithun Chakraborty, amongst others. A remake of Malayalam movie
Pokkiri Raja, the movie has already
garnered much interest from the audiences, in part due to an amazing soundtrack
with chart-toppers such as 'Party all Night' and '
Boss'.

Finally, the
last week of the month is all set to feature some interesting prospects. We see the
release of
Saurabh Varma's
Mickey Virus
on October 25
. The movie marks the
debut of popular TV personality and host
Manish Paul, last seen as one of the
anchors of Color TV's
Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa.
Opposite Manish is yet another debutant,
Elli Avram, a Swedish-Greek actress
who is currently participating in Color TV's
Big Boss 7. The movie is based on cyber crime, in which Mickey
(
Manish Paul), a street smart computer

hacker, plans the ultimate con, and that
too while helping the Delhi Police solve a hacking case. Touted to be a comic thriller, this one is definitely worth checking out! Also releasing on the same
day is another thriller,
Vikram Bhatt's
Bhaag
Johnny. Starring Kunal Khemu, the movie is about a man who is living two
lives and has to choose between one or the other and the consequences of his
choices.
So there you
have it! The month of October starts out strong with high entertainment value,
but then dwindles in its entertainment offerings. While there does appear to be
a good mix of genres available, this cine-goer is definitely a bit disappointed
with the slim picking. What do you guys feel?! And which movies are you looking
forward to most?!
