The trend of sequels has hit tinsel town! BollyCurry brings
you the official line of sequels slated to hit cinema halls in 2012. Hold on
tight, because the list is longer than expected!
After receiving an average response for
Housefull, producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Sajid Khan bring
you part 2 of the
Housefull series. If
you thought the first motion picture had a huge star cast, the second
installment outdoes it. Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Asin, Zarine Khan,
Jacqueline Fernandez, Riteish Deshmukh, Shreyas Talpade, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi
Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Johnny Lever, Mahendra Singh
Dhoni, Rani Mukherjee, Karisma Kapur and Malaika Arora Khan (
phew!) will all be seen in
this one venture. This comedy is confirmed to release on April 5
th,
2012.
Kyaa Super Kool Hain
Hum

After seven years, Balaji Telefilms releases the second
installment of the
Kya Kool Hai Hum
series titled,
Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum. The
sequel will see Riteish Deshmukh, Tusshar Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Neha Sharma, Sarah
Jane Dias and Chunky Pandey. The original film was criticized by critics but loved
by the audience. Directed by Sachin Yardi, a teaser of the film was released in
December 2011. The adult comedy will release during the summer of this year.
The Bhatt brothers bring you part 2 of their successful
venture
Jannat.
Jannat 2 will feature Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda and Esha
Gupta. Earlier, Prachi Desai had been
signed on as the female lead, however director Kunal Deshmukh felt Desai wasn't fit for the role
as she became uncomfortable with portraying a sensual character. Will
Jannat 2 prove to be
blissful for Mahesh Bhatt again? Find out on April 27

Once Upon a Time in
Mumbaai 2

Balaji Motion Pictures'
Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2 will see an entirely new cast. Although nothing has been officially
confirmed, rumour mills state that Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor and Illeana
D'Cruz will be seen as the leads. Kareena Kapoor was supposedly offered a role but
chose to decline it when she heard about Shahid's addition. The release date
for this installment has not been officially released but it is speculated to be
during the summer of 2012.
Race 2
One of 2008's finest films,
Race is ready to set the screen on fire yet again with part numero
2. The action thriller sees Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Deepika
Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez, Ameesha Patel and Bipasha Basu in the sequel.
Sonakshi Sinha had been earlier signed on but due to date clashes with
Dabangg
2, she had to be replaced. Will
Race 2 face
the same astonishing fate as
Race? Catch this twisted thriller with an exceptional star
cast on November 30
th, 2012.
Dabangg broke records after records in 2010. Consequently,
producer Arbaaz Khan announced the sequel shortly after. However, a few noted changes
will bring in
Dabangg 2. Arbaaz Khan dons the director's hat and Sonu Sood
will not be seen as the main villain in the second franchise. Salman Khan and
Sonakshi Sinha will again play the main leads with the story shifting to a city
setting.
Dabangg 2 is projected to be a Christmas 2012 release.

Over the summer, Mahesh Bhatt confirmed the second sequel of
Raaz via Twitter. He also announced that the star cast along with
their character names - Emraan Hashmi as Aditya, Jacqueline Fernandez as
Sanjana and Bipasha Basu as Shanaya. Bhatt also revealed the release date of August
31
st , 2012. This venture
will be available 3D.
Other sequels like
Dostana 2, Dhoom 3 and Krrish 2 are speculated to have late 2012 or early 2013
releases.
