Russians yearn for Bolly hits

Russians have been hooked to Indian cinema since the era of Raj Kapoor. But there was a time when Bollywood was displaced by Hollywood. Now, the country's affair with Hindi films continues with a renewed interest amongst Russian youngsters to see current blockbusters.

As of now, a weeklong festival of Indian golden oldies will rekindle the romance. In other times, there is India TV, a channel aired in regions of Russia and CIS that features Bollywood. Hope our Bollywood producers get sensible soo enough to tap the Russian market.
