Earlier this month, Bollywood filmmaker, Vikas Bahl sued his two former partners Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane of Rs 10 crore defamation case. Vikas Bahl along with Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena were partners in Phantom Films The production house is known to have produced hits like, Queen, Udta Punjab and Masaan.
However, the 'Queen' director was accused of sexual harassment with regards to the incident that happened in 2015. Although, the issue resurfaced in the wake of the #MeToo movement.
On the other hand, Kashyap and Motwane also reportedly filed their affidavits with additional evidence of WhatsApp messages. As per the orders stated by Justice Shahrukh J Kathawalla, Mantena was also told to submit his statement.
Now, with new submissions being made, Justice Kathawalla, did not grant an injunction to Bahl, restraining Kashyap and Motwane from making statements in the media or give an order as initially expected by the parties.
However, according to the reports from DNA, the former partners of Phantom films were present for the hearing and seemed to be divided into two packs. Anurag Kashyap seemed to be teaming up with Motwane, Mantena was spotted having a conversation with Bahl. In addition to it, Mantena was not seen interacting with his ex-partners.
