Deepika to acquire producer's hat for Meghna Gulzar's next!

Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone was praised for her exquisite appearance and performance in Padmaavat. However, the actress kept a low profile after her last film. As the film roped many controversies it still stood out to be an exceptional addition to the Bollywood's list of hits. Several rumors about Deepika starring for Meghna Gulzar's Raazi created quite a buzz in B-Town.

So far, while retracing Deepika's steps her fans have been anxious about her next move. Mumbai Mirror has finally confirmed that not only the actress would follow Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma's footsteps and acquire the producer's chair, but she is also slated to perform in Meghna's upcoming installment. Although the film is yet untitled. According to the reports, it will be based on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

During an interaction with Mumbai Mirror, Deepika revealed that "When I heard this story, I was deeply moved as it's not just one of violence but of strength and courage, hope and victory. It made such an impact on me, that personally and creatively, I needed to go beyond and so the decision to turn producer."
