'Stree' the horror/comedy-drama which was released earlier on 31st August bagged enormous acclaim from the audience. The film was praised by many critics and film buffs. The film which stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao never failed to seize the audience's attention. The film recently exceeded the iconic Rs 100 Cr mark and basked in the glory.
During a media interaction, while talking with regards to the iconic glory of the film, Rajkummar said: "it is commendable that the film has taken the box office by storm despite belonging to a genre that is yet to gain popularity in India."
The actor also added, "The unique combination of horror and comedy, coupled with the sincerity with which we made this film worked in its favor. It's a good sign for our cinema; it shows that the audience is ready to welcome different content."
The film was unarguably hilarious and make you laugh at your heart's content. Moreover, the film has roped the actor into the big league of box office numbers, Rajkummar is strong-resolved about not letting his choices guided by the commercial dynamics of the industry."I am trying to figure out if the box-office success of a film changes the way you operate because nothing has changed in me. I want to hold on to my commitment towards my craft and focus on creating better work. One needs to experiment with ideas. If you have good content, there will definitely be an audience for it," says the actor.
Further-on he added, "I have never cared for labels. I've always believed in listening to my heart. The times that I didn't go by my gut feeling, it worked against me."
