Ranbir Kapoor is currently enjoying the success of his recently released blockbuster film '
Sanju' that's a biopic based on the life of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. RK played the lead role of
Sanju Baba and has been lauded by everyone for his stellar performance.
However, before this massive hit film, Ranbir had a series of films that failed to create their magic at the box office. The list includes Besharam (2013), Roy (2015),
Bombay Velvet (2015), Tamasha (2015) and Jagga Jasoos (2017).
In one of his interviews, around the release of '
Sanju', the co-producer of the film,
Vidhu Vinod Chopra had said that Ranbir's choice of films had been stupid.
During an interaction with Hindustan Times, when Ranbir was asked about Vidhu's this statement, he stated,
"I don't agree with him (Chopra). That's his point of view. I don't regret (being a part of) any film that I have done (till date). Be it Bombay Velvet, Saawariya (2007) or Jagga Jasoos, they all came naturally from (within) me. So, they will always be a part of me. It's like they are your children so yes, the successful ones are obviously there but it's the failed ones that you will (always) be close to because you are always like, 'why didn't people love them?' You always feel attached to them."He further said, "I had an incredible experience while working on these films. They have really added [a lot] to my growth as a person as well as an actor. But when it comes to work, there is constant insecurity and desire to do better. Actually, success and failure don't matter that much to me because I know I still have opportunities [in my career]."
