Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the original diva of Bollywood, has just starred in a film titled 'Fanney Khan' which also stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. In this film which sheds light on the issue of Body Shaming, Aishwarya can be seen playing the role of a pop singer.
Aishwarya has almost been every director's muse and for filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali it was no different. The actress and directed collaborated for films like 'Devdas', 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and 'Guzaarish'. In a recent interview with SpotboyE, the actress was asked when she will next work with SLB.
To which she replied, "Bajirao Mastani' also we were supposed to do together. He didn't get the Bajirao for me; he wanted me to do 'Padmaavat', but could not get the Khilji for me, at the casting time. So, that's how it didn't happen. I would love to work together".
"The person he saw to play Khilji with me playing Padmavati did not happen. So, at the end of the day, you need to see the casting. If the casting is not happening, then you knowsometimes, it doesn't come together. The intention is always there to work together, but it didn't happen. We both loved working with each other, so let's see, whenever it is meant to be", she concluded.
So, now we know that Aishwarya was first approached for Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat but due to casting coup, she turned down the roles. As known to all, later both these films went to Deepika Padukone and she gave a spectacular performance in both these movies.
