Everything was finalized and was in place, the team of '
Bharat' had also done many amendments to fulfil all the demands laid down by Priyanka. They even agreed to give her a huge pay cheque for the film.
PeeCee too was very happy to reunite with her '
Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' co-star after such a huge gap and so was the case with Salman. However, everything just went upside when the 36-year-old actress decided to walk out of the
Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial.
While the director, who has very good relations with Priyanka, put up a very sweet post announcing her exit, the producer and the remaining team isn't very pleased with the actress and has termed her behaviour as "unprofessional".
In an interview to mid-day, producer Nikhil Namit, the CEO of Reel Life Productions, that's producing the film is agitated and has revealed that Priyanka intimated the team just two days ago, citing her move as "unprofessional".
"Priyanka told us she had to exit due to her engagement, two days ago. It was a little unprofessional of her to do it so suddenly," said Nikhil.
A source close to the film has revealed to the daily that Priyanka was keeping the makers of
Bharat in the loop about her probable resignation from the project.
"Priyanka had been in talks with the Bharat team over the past two weeks about how she may have to opt out for personal reasons. Sensing Priyanka's iffy attitude, Salman initiated talks with Katrina during their Dabangg Reloaded Tour in the US. Other names including that of Jacqueline are also being tossed around," says a source quoted by mid-day.
the source further added that Katrina Kaif might step into Priyanka's shoes and sign the dotted lines soon.
After confirming Priyanka's exit from '
Bharat', director
Ali Abbas Zafar shared another post this morning stating that they will soon be announcing their new leading lady.
"Yes yes yes ... we will announce the leading lady of Bharat soon.. We have been shooting non-stop and the simultaneously preparing for international schedules," he tweeted.
