Recently, there have been reports that
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been taking career decisions for husband
Abhishek Bachchan to save his sinking B-town career.
A report published in a leading daily has quoted inside sources revealing that Abhi turned down Sonali Bose's film because Aishwarya was not convinced with the kind of role he was offered!
Now, Aishwarya's spokesperson has released an official statement on behalf of the actress, rubbishing all the reports.
The statement reads:
"Aishwarya Rai Bachchan not too keen for Abhishek Bachchan to sign Shonali Bose's next film has been doing rounds on the internet. To clear the record Abhishek Bachchan has refused this particular film and it's a low down tactic to drag Aishwarya's name in this context."For those unaware, filmmaker Sonali Bose is working on her next project that's based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 13 and who later became a motivational speaker. She authored a book titled, 'My Little Epiphanises'. Aisha later passed away at the age of 18 three years ago.
Reportedly, Dangal fame Zaira Wasim was being considered to play the role of the teenager and there were talks that
Abhishek Bachchan along with
Priyanka Chopra will be playing the role of her parents. To share the idea with Abhi, Sonali had visited him on the sets of his upcoming film 'Manmarziyan' and pitched him her thoughts.
However, according to a report on Zoom, Aish does not want Abhi to play this role as she feels he should take up a character like the one he had in Manmarziyan where he can do more.
