Priyanka Chopra does THIS to Compete with Deepika Padukone!

Priyanka Chopra who is a global fame now is currently enjoying her personal life with rumoured beau Nick Jonas. She's often spotted with him on dates and was also the 25-year old's date at one of his cousin's wedding. We hear that Priyanka is pretty serious about this relationship.

However, on the work front, Chopra apart from 'Bharat' has nothing else in her kitty. She will soon be returning to India to start filming for this Ali Abbas Zafar directorial. Now we hear that Priyanka has demanded a hefty sum for Bharat which is higher than what Deepika had charged for 'Padmaavat'.

Reports suggest that Priyanka's this move looks like as if she wants to compete with Deepika when it comes to being the highest paid actress in the industry. Deepika Padukone had charged Rs 13 crore which was comparatively more than her male co-stars in the film for her act in Padmaavat and now reportedly Priyanka has demanded Rs 14 crore for Bharat.

A report in Mid-Day reveals, "Priyanka's team had quoted Rs. 14 crore given her current market rate, but, abiding by industry standards, she was given Rs. 12 crore".

Our Desi Girl has often been vocal about her thoughts on gender bias. She had once stated, "I think gender pay gap is a global problem. It exists in every profession, be it Hollywood, Bollywood or the business sector where males are paid more than females. I feel it's a big problem and is not just confined to the film industry. My appearance on the top 10 list Forbes 100 celebrity list highlights the same problem".

Deepika Padukone too had shared her views on pay equality. She had expressed, "If you comparing our pay scale with the men, then yes it is very less. If you are comparing what girls used to get before and what they are getting in the last one or two years then I can say that there has been a major shift and we are hoping and trying. But this is not a war".
