Yesterday afternoon reports came in that a residential building in Mumbai's Prabhadevi area has caught fire. The upper floors of this building were deeply affected. The building was Beau Monde towers, the same place where Bollywood's queen Deepika Padukone resides.
Deepika was at shooting at the time of the incident and wasn't at home. Fans kept asking about her update and Deepika finally tweeted in the evening and said, "I am safe.Thank You everyone.Let us pray for our firefighters who are at site risking their lives..."

Now, a report in India Today suggests that Deepika Padukone had visited the building last night to check if everything is fine. While Deepika was heading out of the residential building, she greeted a few firemen who were on duty there and even exchanged a few words.
Praising their efforts and complimenting them for all the effort taken to handle the situation under control, she expressed, "Bhagwan ka shukar hai ki koi causalty nahi hai aur fire brigade ne bahut achcha kaam kiya. (Thank God, there are no casualties, the fire brigade did a great job.) I just came here to check the situation".
Reports suggest the blaze started around 2 pm on the 33rd floor of the building. Eyewitnesses said the top two floors are badly affected. It is not known yet what caused the fire.
At least 10 fire engines, two quick response vans and five water tankers have been pressed into service to douse the fire. This is the third major fire incident in Mumbai this month.
Deepika's home and office were both unaffected in this incident.
