Actress ARRESTED for running a Prostitute Ring

Popular Tamil actress Sangeetha Balan has been arrested by the Chennai police for allegedly running a prostitution ring in Chennai.

Reportedly, the actress was involved in a flesh trade in a private resort at Panayur in Chennai.

During the raid conducted by the Chennai police on East Coast Road in Chennai, after receiving a tip-off about the sex racket being run by the actress along with a man named Sathish, several women have been rescued. The women who were rescued belonged to various parts of India, including North India. They have now been seen to a rehabilitation center. 

The accused, Sangeetha and Sathish were arrested and presented before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore. The two were then sent to jail.

Sangeetha Balan made her acting debut with Tamil film 'Karuppu Roja' in 1996. She has worked in several films including 'Unmai' and 'Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum'
