Parineeti Chopra WON'T perform at the IPL: Reason Below

A lot of stories about Parineeti Chopra backing out from performing at the IPL Opening Ceremony this year have been making rounds.

To put an end to all the rumors, her spokesperson has released an official statement on her behalf.

Confirming the news, her spokesperson has also revealed the reason behind her not performing at the gala event.

Her statement reads:

"Parineeti Chopra was to perform at this year's IPL opening ceremony. She was shooting non-stop for Namaste England in Patiala and had back-to-back, pre-committed endorsement commitments.

So, unfortunately, she did not have enough time to rehearse in spite of her best efforts. Being a thorough professional, Parineeti spoke to Wizcraft and explained to them that she was not ok putting up a compromised performance.

Wizcraft has been gracious enough to understand this and agrees with Parineeti. She would not be performing at the gala opening."

Apart from Parineeti, even Ranveer Singh had to back out because of his shoulder injury. Doctors have advised him complete bed rest for a few days and have even asked him not to perform at the event to avoid aggravating his injury.

However, soon after Ranveer backed out, the team took Hrithik Roshan on board and he will now be performing at the event in place of RS.

But, who will fill Parineeti's place is yet not confirmed.
