As per fresh reports, the Jodhpur court on Thursday, convicted Bollywood Superstar
Salman Khan in 1998 Black Buck Poaching case.
The actor has been convicted under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, which carries maximum punishment of six years and minimum one-year jail term.
The final quantum of sentence that was announced a few minutes back states,
"Salman Khan has been sentenced to 5 years to jail in Black Buck Poaching Case and a penalty of Rs 10,000 has also been levied on him", says a source from Jodhpur court.
The actor will now be taken to the Jodhpur Central Jail where he might have to spend a night till his lawyer appeals to the High Court to revive the 5 year jail term that's been awarded to the superstar by the Jodhpur Court.
Spiritual Guru, Asaram Bapu is also lodged at the Jodhpur Central Jail where Salman will be taken today.
His lawyer to move Rajasthan High Court for bail.
