Rani Mukerji has delivered a super-hit and most importantly a special film
Hichki to mark her Bollywood comeback. Returning to the silver screen after almost 4 years and yet receiving a lot of love from the audience is what Rani is thrilled about.
We recently caught up with the actress for the success of
Hichki and she appeared to be excited as ever. The movie is performing exceptionally well at the box office while the entire industry and the audience are praising Rani for her performance.
Speaking about the compliments that she has received, Rani happened to reveal how did her baby daughter
Adira Chopra react when she saw her mother on the big screens. Asked weather Adira saw
Hichki, Rani revealed,
"I took her to see the film and that she is 2 years old so obviously does not understand. At the theatre, she heard the loud sound and the dark screening so I had switched on the lights and made the sound soft. She sat on my lap and after 10 minutes she said, 'Woh toh Mera mumma hai' (She is my mother). So that's how she reacted". "Adira was very happy to see me and then she was simultaneously looking at the screen and then me making our own thoughts and judgments in her mind. She's just 2 and right now I don't know how she felt after watching Hichki. Probably when she will grow up she'll tell me about her understanding of this film", concluded Rani.
Hichki revolves around the heart-wrenching journey of Naina Mathur, who has Tourette syndrome. How she turns her obstacles into her strength is inspiring in all ways. Directed by
Siddharth P. Malhotra,
Hichki released on 23rd March and has minted 36.60 crores at the Box Office.
