Mumbai, Oct 4 (IANS) Movie mogul J.P. Dutta has quietly turned a year older. He spent the day with his family and colleagues from his office but the rush of people usually seen to greet him on his birthdays was missing.

'At my age you begin to look back on your life and all the experiences that have gone into making me the person that I am,' Dutta said on his birthday Wednesday.

Asked if there were any chances of him penning his memoirs like his father O.P. Dutta did a few years ago, Dutta said: 'Not a chance. Firstly I don't have my father's writing skills. Secondly I'm not as honest as he is.'

Dutta is all set to start working on a new film, which will in all probability star Anupam Kher's son Sikandar.

When told that this is the first time he is doing a movie without the crutches of giant stars, he remarked: 'Have you forgotten 'Refugee'? Have you forgotten that Abhishek and Kareena were newcomers when I got them into this film?'

Dutta's wife Bindiya said: 'He's never defeated for long. He has seen the industry change its colours after a couple of failures. He feels exactly like that Guru Dutt song 'Dekhi zamanein ki yaari bichchade sabhi baari-baari'.'

It looks like the failure of 'Umrao Jaan' hasn't daunted Dutta at all and he is all set to return with a bang.
