Varun Dhawan is all set for the release of his upcoming film 'October' of which he launched the trailer here in the city today. Dhawan looked all dedicated to this film in the trailer and was seen quite confident at the launch as well.
Amidst the media interactions at the launch, Varun was asked about his viewpoint on Shah Rukh Khan's recent statement that actors in Bollywood should reduce their fees in their films. He had stated that actors should charge minimal so that the producers can focus more on their film.
To which Varun gave an impressive reply, he said, "I think it's true. He also produces his own films and that he is creatively involved too. And I believe what Shah Rukh Khan is saying about cutting down the fee is right. The money should not control the creative part of the film. It would be better the more money you invest in films and script. And I think you can work that out".
The actor was further questioned if he ever faced any issues with filmmakers when it comes to fees. To which he cleared, "Maine toh kabhi yeh face nahi kiya hai problem jab bhi main film karta hoon (I never faced this problem when I work in a film). I want to look that everyone is safe; the producers are also happy making the film and then you can go ahead".
About his film October, there were reports that Varun has cut down his fees to 50% for this Shoojit Sircar starrer as he didn't want to burden a special project like this.
