A lot of stories made headlines, when news about
Shahid Kapoor tying the knot with
Mira Rajput Kapoor broke. Few slammed him for marrying such a young girl and the rest blamed him for the age difference.
Despite all such stories, Shahid and Mira proved that age is just a number when it comes to a relationship. Their unconditional love and faith for each other, has made them a power couple.
Both, Shahid and Mira never leave any opportunity to praise each other at various public platforms and never shy away from indulging in public display of affection.
Recently, during an interview with TOI, Shahid was all praises for his dear wifey Mira and also said that Mira is his lucky charm.
He said, "Mira has always been lucky for me. Every time she has accompanied me, I have won an award! But this year, since I have not been nominated in any categories, I didn't bring her along (laughs)."
Post the birth of his first baby with Mira, Shahid, in an interview with a popular daily had said:
"Our marriage has been a huge journey for Mira and me. The two of us come from very different backgrounds. And we went through our own struggle because she had a complicated pregnancy. It was then that we formed a bond and fell completely in love because we only had each other. Misha was our first big project together. Somewhere, subliminally all that I was facing in real life has played its part in Padmaavat."
He has even called Mira his Padmavti and said: "I do not think I would have been able to understand my on-screen relationship with my queen and the dynamic of that equation if I hadn't been married for those one-and-a-half years. For me, Mira will always be my Padmavati."
Adorable! Isn't it?
Currently, Shahid is busy with his next film "Batti Gul Meter Chalu" where he will be seen opposite Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam. The film is slated to release on August 31, 2018.
