As per fresh updates that we have received from the Dubai officials, there will be a further delay in getting
Sridevi's mortal remains back to India.
The officials have informed, that as per the usual protocols, the tests take up to 24 hours in the case a person has died outside a hospital in Dubai.
Officials also revealed that
Sridevi's autopsy is complete and her family is now awaiting laboratory reports conducted by the General Department of Forensic Evidence, Dubai.
But the forensics department is yet to submit the blood test results to the Dubai police for the release of the actress' body. It is expected that in the next couple of hours the paper work shall be completed.
Reportedly, it's been 36 hours since
Sridevi passed away and fans have gathered yet again at the forensics department in Dubai with the hope of catching a glimpse of the late superstar.
The Indian Consulate Official have revealed that after receiving the Police Clearance and Forensic reports, they will initiate the remaining procedures that include the, immigration process and embalming process and that will take up to 3 to 4 hours. They are hopeful that by 2:00 PM (UAE Standard Time)
Sridevi's body will be ready for the repatriation with all the complete procedures.
