"Boney Kapoor, Jhanvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor and the entire Kapoor, Ayyappan and Marwah family is deeply bereaved and shocked with the untimely loss of Sridevi Kapoor.
They thank the entire media for their prayers, support and sensitivity during their time of grief.
Late Sridevi Kapoor's body will arrive in India tomorrow. We will update you on all further information as and when it's available to us.
Request you to kindly reach out to us on everything related to this and we urge you to please not call the family for information on the same."

Sridevi, who had been to Dubai UAE to attend her nephew,
Mohit Marwah's wedding with her family members, passed away last night.
Reportedly, the 54 year-old actress suffered a major cardiac arrest at around 11:30 PM on Saturday night i.e February 24, 2018; according to the UAE Standard Time. Her brother-in-law and actor
Sanjay Kapoor confirmed the news.
At the time of death,
Sridevi was with her husband
Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi Kapoor. Her elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor couldn't accompany her family for the wedding as she is busy with the shooting of her debut film "Dhadak."

Anil Kapoor's residence and her half brother,
Arjun Kapoor cancelled his shoot immediately after he got the news and flew down to Mumbai to be by her side at this grief stricken time.
As per fresh updates, the cremation will now take place tomorrow, i.e 26th February, 2018 at the Hindu Cremation ground in Juhu, Mumbai.

Sridevi, born Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan, began her filmdom career at the age of four and from then on it was never looking back. It's been four decades of her flourishing career wherein she appeared in innumerable Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films.
Some of her famous works include, Chandni, Mr. India, Mawaali and Tohfa and many more. Throughout her span in the Hindi film industry, she received Filmfare Awards and had been amongst the highest paid actors in the 1990s. She was also named as the "First Female Superstar".
The actress who had taken a break from the silver screens, returned with a bang in 2012 with Gauri Shinde's "English Vinglish". Not only did the film became a huge success at the Box Office but even her performance was applauded by the critics and the fans.

Sridevi was bestowed with the fourth highest civilian honour, the "Padma Shri Award" by the Government of India.
