Earlier the film was supposed to release during Republic day on January 26, 2018, but, as the makers of "Padmaavat" took a hold around the republic weekend along with Akshay Kumar's "Pad Man" unfortunately the makers had to shift their date to February 9, 2018.
However, with the request of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Akshay Kumar postponed his film's release date again but, interestingly the makers again chose the date with Malhotra's Aiyaary. And a few days ago, the Defence Ministry watched Aiyaary and suggested the makers to making certain changes. Owing to this, the co-producer of the film Jayantilal Gada said that they might again push the release date of the film due to this sudden change.
According to a source, "Neeraj Pandey who helmed the film recently had a quick meeting about certain changes in the film due to which now the makers need time to edit and so they have thought to push the film ahead. To be on the safer side with not goofing up with the edit the makers have thought to go slow and have decided to fix February 16, 2018, to release the film."
"However, if they announce the change in date today, then too it the will clash with Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Saleem's "Dil Junglee" but, it can be still counted as a solo release in a way. They are pretty sure about their strong content and people will come and watch the film." adds the source.
