Saina Nehwal's biopic finally to go on floors from September, 2018

Actress Shraddha Kapoor will be seen playing the lead and titular character - Saina Nehwal in the film.

Earlier many reports suggested that the actress has been finding difficulty in the training of the badminton game, due to which the film has been pushed. While some other rumours and reports from the trade source said that the "Shraddha and Saina had met on a few occasions. Preparations were on in full swing. However, the movie may not happen because of some other glitches."

When a leading tabloid asked the director Amole Gupte about the status of the film, he stated, "I have no idea why it is being deduced that the film has been shelved." He further spoke about the rolling of the film saying, "We will start shooting this September. It's the kind of film that requires brewing period."

He further added, "I have lived this film for two years. I have been making constant trips to Hyderabad, meeting Saina and taking notes. It was a mammoth task to make her journey into a script."

In the previous year, Shraddha had portrayed the role of Haseena Parkar in her biopic and this will be the second film for the actress to portray a real-life character on screen. Apart from this biopic, the actress will also be seen in Saaho alongside superstar Prabhas and currently is busy shooting for her upcoming horror-comedy film with Rajkumar Rao that is being helmed by Amar Kaushik.
