Phewww!!! After many dramas that have been going on since a year and a half with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmavat" the film has finally got a green signal and is set to hit the screens on January 25, 2017. The film stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles.
Interestingly "Padmavat" will be clashing with "Padman" that stars Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in the lead role that is helmed by R. Balki.
However, earlier Sidharth Malhotra, Manoj Bajpayee and Rakul Preet Singh starer "Aiyaary" was set to hit the screens on January 26th that is on the Republic Day but, the makers had to shift their release date to February 9, 2017, to avoid the clash between the two films. Well, one knows that fans have been eagerly waiting for "Padmavat" which is already a big multi-starrer film with a big-budgeted too fans would prefer watching "Padmavat" over "Aiyaary". On the other hand, "Padman" had Akshay Kumar who already has a big stardom behind him and is no less than the Khans. Thus, it felt better for the makers to push their release date and take a safe date rather than sticking up between two big films and going in loss.
Well, it will be interesting to see the biggest clash at the start of the year between "Padmavat" and "Padman". While one is an extravagant historical film, the other one is based on true story.
Let us know, in the comments below what do you guys have to say about it? Which film do you think will break the records at the box-office?
