The year started on a positive note for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavat as the CBFC board, at last, decided to clear the film after few alterations. The film received a U/A certificate after a special panel that included historians and members watched the film.
The major change was the title of the film which was replaced from Padmavati to Padmavat. This decision was taken to indicate that the film is a work of fiction based on the poem by Mallik Muhammad Jayasi in 1540.
However, after all these changes, the members of Rajput Karni Sena are still displeased and demanded a ban on the film. Today, trade specialist Ramesh Bala tweeted stating that Padmavat might release on 9th February 2018 and that cheered the fans. But, the Sena has different plans for everyone.
Reportedly, the community will begin a nationwide protest against the film today. The Rajput Karni Sena demands the resignation of I&B minister Smriti Zubin Irani, politician, and former shooter Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, and CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi.

"I want to ask the central government what benefits will they get by supporting this movie? All the Hindu parties from whom we learned about Hinduism are quiet on this film," Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, President of Karni Sena, told IANS.
The situation is turning difficult for the makers of the film and after this protest, we wonder what decision will be taken. Only time can reveal what lies in the fate of this Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor starrer.
