Is Shraddha Kapoor pairing up with Shahid for his next?

Not only Katrina Kaif but, Vaani Kapoor was also speculated to play the female lead. However, there has been no official confirmation of the two but, the latest we hear today is, Shahid's Haider actress Shraddha Kapoor will be playing the female lead opposite him.

According to a leading daily, Shraddha Kapoor is in the running to be paired opposite Shahid in the movie which will see both the characters play lawyers. A source informed the daily, "The makers recently got in touch with Shraddha. She has been briefed about the role. The producers were looking for an A-list heroine to be cast opposite Shahid, who plays a lawyer in the film. However, it will require some prep. Katrina couldn't sign the film because she didn't have the time to do so." Both the actors are said to play the lawyer in the film.

If the reports are to be true, both Shahid and Shraddha will be collaborating for the second time after "Haider".

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, "Batti Gul Meter Chalu" is slated to release on August 31, 2018.
