The recently released poster of Tiger Shroff playing a student in Punit Malhotra's upcoming film Student of the year 2 has left us all excited. It was Karan Johar who had felt that SOTY had the potential to be carried forward as a franchise.
It was earlier reported that Tiger will be the only hero to star in this film with two female actresses beside him. Names of newcomers Jahnavi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Pandey were highlighted to be paired opposite Tiger. News of Tiger's beau Disha Patani to star in this film was also hitting the tinsel town but all these names remain just a speculation.
Now, as per recent reports, the buzz is that Shahid Kapoor's half-brother Ishaan Khattar is being considered for the second lead. Reportedly, Student of the year has now become a two-hero project. Ishaan who is currently preparing himself for his debut film - Dhadak has reportedly signed a three-movie deal with Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions.
A source close to the project revealed, "Ishaan has a 40-day schedule for the film, following which he will move on to SOTY 2. Just like the first part, this film will also have many songs. There will also be a few action scenes. Ishaan is already gearing up for them".
This news has got us interested as Ishaan is one amazing dancer. Tiger's dancing skills are known to all and it sure will be a treat to watch the two best dancers groove together on the silver screen.
Talking about the delay in filming SOTY 2, the source revealed, "The film had been put on hold because Karan wanted a few changes in the script. An outing with Sara Ali Khan in the Bollywood remake of the American romance-drama, Fault In Our Stars, was apparently going to mark another collaboration between Ishaan and Karan. But, that got shelved".
As for now, Ishaan has Dhadak with co-star Jahnavi Kapoor which will release in July 2018 and Tiger has projects like Baaghi 2, Rambo remake to be released next year.
