A complaint has been filed against the senior lyricist and poet
Javed Akhtar, by a advocate from Jaipur. The complainant said that his statements were threats to the social harmony of the state.
Recently, while talking to a news channel about the the ban of film "Padmavati", he said, "The Rajputs and Rajwadas never fought against the British and now they are taking to the streets against a film and a filmmaker, All these ranas, rajas and maharajas of Rajasthan were serving in the courts of the British for 200 years. Where did their Rajput honour and valour go that time?".
Being offended by his staement, Advocate Pratap Singh Shekhawat has filed a complaint against him in account of "inciting communal enmity". Karni Sena's state president Mahipal Singh Makrana, has threatened him not to enter Rajasthan, saying "if he dares to enter Rajasthan, we will thrash him on the street".
After a intense protest against the release of movie by Karani Sena, the makers of movie "Padmavati" decided to postpone the release.
It is a real bad time for the makers and the lead actor of the film. Other peoples from industry have spoken out their disagrrement for the same, but this is the first time that someone other than the person related to the film "Padmavati", is being threatened.
