Padman: Meet the characters of Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte

Akshay Kumar's socially themed film 'Padman' is one of the most anticipated films of 2018. We saw Akshay's look from the film and now the actor introduces you to the characters of the leading ladies of the film.

Akshay shared a Monochrome picture with Radhika Apte where he is sharing a smile with her. In the picture, Radhika is holding what looks like a sanitary napkin with three flowers on it. Sticking to the realistic theme, Radhika is wearing a cotton saree and Akshay a simple shirt. The duo is playing a married couple in the film. Akshay tweeted the picture saying, "The reason he became Padman".

In another picture with Sonam Kapoor, Akshay is seen sharing a laugh with her. They are seen enjoying the bullock cart ride. Sonam is wearing a simple blue kurta with thick glasses. With her attire, we assume she will be playing a social worker or a help in Akshay's journey. This assumption came after Akshay captioned the image, "The STRENGTH behind #PADMAN..."

This R Balki directorial is a family entertainer which is going to warm your hearts, entertain you and make you think at the same time. Padman has been Inspired by the life of Indian entrepreneur and inventor Arunachalam Muruganantham, who invented the low cost sanitary pad-making machine and revolutionized the movement of cost-effective female hygiene in India.
