This is what Shahid and Deepika feel about their film 'Padmavati'

Appearing on-screen together for the first time, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are all excited and emotional towards their first film together - Padmavati.

As known to all, Padmavati is surrounded by various controversies regarding the film's historical plot that upset the Rajput community. Many celebrities have spoken in the favour of the film and this time it's the star cast of Padmavati who shared their views on the film.

Deepika was present at the GQ awards last night, when asked about Padmavati, she expressed, "I just want to say that the love we are receiving from the audience for our posters, for our trailer, for our songs, I think we are all very excited and overwhelmed by the response. We can't wait to share this film with everyone. It's been an incredible journey and I think we are literally counting the days. We can't wait for the film to release and share this experience with all of you".

Playing the main lead, Deepika looks very positive and enthusiastic about the film. Noted Deepika!

Her co-star Shahid Kapoor who also graced the GQ ceremony had a similar response towards the question. While interacting with the media, he expressed, "Watch the film first and then decide for yourself. Don't have a preconceived notion".

Shahid interacted in this way because of the immense controversies surrounding Padmavati. 

The story of Padmavati will unfold on December 1 this year. The chemistry between fresh pair Shahid who essays the role of Maharaja Rawal Ratan Singh and Deepika who portrays the role of Padmini will also be seen on December 1.
