READ DETAILS: Ranveer Singh to soon start shooting for Kabir Khan's 83

The announcement of enthusiastic actor Ranveer Singh to portray the calm and composed character of former cricket captain Kapil Dev in the film '83' has left us all anticipated. The film is based on the iconic win of India at the World Cup held in the year 1983 and gives a chance to the audience to re-live the same.

Now, as per recent developments, director Kabir Khan with his team is soon expected to head to London to start with the filming of the first schedule of the film. A source close to the team revealed to a leading daily, "The first schedule will be widely shot in London, since the city is an important part of the film. The makers are planning to shoot the entire World Cup sequence in the first schedule".

At an event, when asked Ranveer on his reaction on being offered the role of Kapil Dev, the actor expressed, "I was born at the time when cricket was big time. When Kabir Sahab had come to me and said that there will be a film on 83, I was like finally. And when he was narrating it to me, I was likewoooh. It is not a story just about cricket but a human story".

A leading agency reported that as a part of preparations, Kapil Dev will be training Ranveer for the film. Reports of the setup of a boot camp where the whole team will practice their preparations were also reported.

Ranveer at an event asked Kapil Dev, "How I am going to do this"? We feel with the amount of hard work and dedication Ranveer puts into a character, he will be doing an excellent job in 83 as well!
