As we all know, remaking movies has became a trend in bollywood. "
Agneepath", "
Judwaa 2" are some of such examples that got a huge box office success, showing audience love remakes.
But "Airlift" director, Raja krishna menon took it to whole new level, by making remake of hit international film "
Chef". Whcih is still screening at this instant, and geting alot of appreciation from both the audience and critics. And now
Jacqueline Fernandez has been roped in such a remake.
Director Ribhu Dasgupta, whose last movie was
Amitabh Bachchan starer, "
Te3n", is making an official remake of 2016 psychological mystery drama, "The Girl On Train".
Jacqueline will be playing lead in the movie. The original movie is an adaptation of novel by Paula Hawkins, of same name. The role Jaqueline will be playing is originally played by Emily Blunt.
Ribhu Dasgupta said that, "have just finished the script. Jackie has come on board as the protagonist. While the novel had an ensemble cast, our film will revolve around her character. I have been looking forward to working with her and this seemed like a perfect project to collaborate. You get together to make a film when people think alike in many ways and when I had met her I discovered we were on the same page."
About the preparation he said, "The film will be set in a small town but the makers are yet to figure whether they will be filming in India or abroad. Ribhu and his team will begin their recce soon and will start prepping up with Jacqueline by the year-end."
For now Jaqueline have two movies in her kitty, "Race 3" and "Drive".
