Did Tiger Shroff opt out of Student of the Year 2?

We are thankful to Karan Johar who launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in Student of the Year and gave the industry three spectacular young actors.

However, Karan earlier had clearly stated that he will not direct a sequel to Student of the Year instead produce it this time. Director Punit Malhotra, who directed films like I Hate Luv Storys and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, will direct the sequel to the original film which released in 2012.

In 2015, Tiger Shroff was announced as the main lead of the film but going with the recent developments, reports suggest that the actor has opted out of Student of the Year 2.

A source revealed to a daily, as Tiger is busy with several projects and his last few films have failed to do well at the box office, the makers have planned to replace him.

Contrary to this side of the story, it is also been said that Tiger Shroff is receiving many film offers and so he did ask the makers of SOTY 2 to get done with the finalisation of the film's leading ladies and start filming as soon as possible but the team failed in co-operating with him.

So, now buzz is that Tiger is planning to step out of SOTY 2 as he already signed a film with Hrtihik Roshan and Vaani Kapoor under YRF banner. The actor now has Baaghi 2 where he will be seen with his alleged girlfriend Disha Patani, Rambo remake which is speculated to go on floors by the end of 2018 and YRF's new film in his bag.
