Rishi Kapoor recently expressed his disappointment and anger towards the younger generation actors for skipping late Vinod Khanna's funeral and attending Priyanka Chopra's party. In a series of tweets the actor mentioned how no one from the current generation of actor showed up at the funeral and asked them to show some respect towards the veterans.
Kriti Sanon, who is one of the current generation actresses, gave a straight answer to Rishi's rant. In a recent interview, the actress totally disagreed to Rishi Kapoor's statements. She said, "I would like to believe that it was [no show at Khanna's funeral] situational. I don't think the present generation is less attached. I personally am emotional about people who I know and I am around." (sic)
The actress further added that everyone had their own valid reasons for not showing up. She said, "There can be individual reasons for people who knew Vinod Khanna and worked with him, but still were not there [at the funeral]. There might be people who were not in Mumbai or were travelling. I can't comment on someone as to why they didn't turn up." (sic)
