Aww: Anil Kapoor's heartwarming message for daughter Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor won the National Award for her film "Neerja" and on this special occasion, her family members were by her side all throughout.

So when Sonam went to the stage to receive the award, her dad, Anil Kapoor couldn't hold back his excitement and he stood up to click pictures and video of his darling princess.

He then shared the picture on his social media account and wrote a beautiful caption alongside, he read: "Clearly cannot contain my excitement! Surrounded by cameras but a father always turns photographer in these moments! Congratulations @sonamkapoor !! So proud!! #nationalfilmawards"

Also, before he stepped out for the award function he posted a picture of himself looking all dapper and excited.

Indeed, no matter how big a star is, at the end of the day, a father is a father.
