Karisma's wedding hits a road block, Sandip's divorce case INTENSIFIES

Karisma Kapoor was expected to tie the knot soon with her alleged boyfriend Sandip Toshniwal. But luck does not seem to be in favor of the actress.

The duo had planned to get hitched after Sandip would seek a divorce from her current wife Dr.Ashrita. Sandip and Ashrita had filed for a divorce on a mutual consent. The matter which has been pending in the court for years had recently gained a momentum after Dr. Ashrita initiated preliminary proceedings of divorce.

But what happened now might delay Karisma's wedding plans.

Sandip and Ashrita had mutually decided to part ways on the conditions that he will pay her an alimony of Rs. 2 Crore and Rs. 3 Crore each to their two daughters.

As per a report, Ashrita appeared in the court and agreed that she is fine with the alimony amount however denied to adhere to the demand of declaring the investment she would make with the amount.

This rule has been laid down to ensure that when settlements are being done, the respective candidate gets his/her money.

The court proceedings soon took an ugly turn with the lawyer of both the parties hurling their respective arguments against each other. This created a further mess and the idea of 'mutual consent' now stands invalid. Thus, the proceedings will begin afresh.

Unfortunately, Karisma has no option but to wait until the matter gets settled in the court.
